I purchased a 2006 Dodge Durango for alot and 3 months later I need a new engine. The coolant light came on one day and I added coolant and then a few days later it came on again so I dropped it off at my mechanic. He told me that it looks like someone did some work on it and may have damaged something on the front of the engine and resulted in a coolant leak. It has an external and internal leak, and the engine needs to be replaced. I called the dealer and they said there is nothing they can do. NOTHING. They said the paperwork says 30 days for that mileage and why would they want a car with a bad engine. I paid way too much for a car that didn't last 3 months and not a single olive branch from the dealer.
My wife and I bought a car for my parents. They were very up front and honest about their cars - all the good, bad and ugly. They offer both a retail price and a wholesale price. We went with the wholesale price, had some work done on it and three months later, it is still running like a top. I've recommended this dealership to others because in my experience, it's hard to find honest, decent car salespeople these days - especially in the used car business.
